Eastside is a Southern Baptist Church that was founded in 1955. We are still in our original location on Plank Road in Zachary. We base our beliefs on the Baptist Faith and Message which states: the Holy Bible was written by divinely inspired men and is the record of God’s revelation of himself to man. There is one and only one living and true God. He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the Universe. Christ is the eternal Son of God. Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. Through illumination he enables men to understand truth as he indwells in the heart of every believer. By his choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the world. Only the Grace of God can bring man into His Holy fellowship. Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
